Princeton Manor Homeowners' Association Holds 2nd Forum for Proposed Williams/Transco Natural Gas Compressor Station #206
Williams Transco Gas Compressor #206

Princeton Manor Homeowner’s Association conducted their second informational forum on Monday, February 13th regarding the proposed site for the Williams/Transco Natural Gas Compressor Station #206. Princeton Manor is a 55 and older community located within half a mile of the proposed site.
The meeting was held onsite at the Clubhouse and approximately 100 residents attended. In an effort to address the community’s expressed apprehensiveness, this also served as an opportunity to update the Princeton Manor community as to what has transpired since our January 5th meeting. Our intent was to channel their opposition in an organized format, provide advice as to what they could do, and provide information in a Q&A format. Members of the South Brunswick Township Williams/Transco Compressor Station Task Force were available for the Q&A. Barry Kutch and Kevin Chen of the Central Jersey Safe Energy Coalition, Joe Camarota, South Brunswick Councilman and Jeff Howell, Princeton Manor resident, of the South Brunswick Township Gas Compressor Task Force, were all generous enough to provide valuable information to the community. The risks to Princeton Manor residents include, but not limited to, noise vibration in an active blasting site, fire safety, quality of drinking water, pollution of toxic gasses into the air, inadequate water resources to fight a fire in the treed areas surrounding the site, risk management, etc. The inherent risks associated with the placement of a 32,000-horsepower gas powered Gas Compressor station at the site being proposed will have a major deleterious impact on the quality of life, health and safety of Princeton Manor residents. Princeton Manor Homeowners Association, on behalf of its residents, in concert with the South Brunswick Township and various community groups, vehemently oppose the construction of this compressor station on the site proposed, or any site that can impact a large residential community such as ours.
