Construction Work To Begin On Ridge Road In South Brunswick
Beginning Tuesday, paving and milling work will begin on Ridge Road. Here are the dates and times of road closure in South Brunswick.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Ridge Road will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. as a Township contractor will be performing road work. Work will last for three business days and will consist of milling and paving Improvements. Closures will happen along Monmouth Drive to Freedom Tail.
On Tuesday, Sept. 14 road will be open for normal traffic with construction taking place off the roadway. On Wednesday, work will be on the road and require closure. Ridge Road is expected to close between Route 522 to New Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic attempting to go to South Brunswick High School in the morning should use Route 522 to Stouts Lane. After 12 p.m., Ridge Road closure will extend from Route 522 to Monmouth Drive.

On Thursday there will be limited access to the construction area, the roadway will be sprayed with a liquid asphalt tack coating prior to paving and vehicles should not drive on the tack coat or the roadway until after paving is completed for the day, township officials said.
Vehicles cannot be parked in the street during construction work hours. South Brunswick will be posting detours. Motorists are asked to follow all road signs and obey the direction of police officers and other traffic control personnel during this time.
