Rt. 1 North Closed Overnight In South Brunswick, Now Open

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Part of Rt. 1 north was shut down for about two hours Wednesday night in South Brunswick, but the roadway was reopened by about 2 a.m. Thursday, May 31.

All lanes of Rt. 1 north at Ridge Road were shut down at about midnight last night after a tractor trailer overturned at that intersection. It brought electric wires down onto Rt. 1 with it, police said.

However, the accident was cleared and Rt. 1 north in South Brunswick was reopened for travel as of 2 a.m. today.
