Rt. 27 Closed Overnight For The Next 6 Months
Yup, you read that correctly. Rt. 27, between 518 and Promenade Boulevard, will be closed on weeknights for the next six months.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The following is from South Brunswick police: On or about Monday, August 13 a major water main rehabilitation project is expected to start on Rt. 27, between Rt. 518 and Promenade Boulevard.
The project will require Rt. 27 to be closed, between Route 518 and Promenade Boulevard, on weeknights for the next six months from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Emergency vehicles as well as residents/visitors to homes & businesses within the closed area will maintain access during the work. Thru-traffic will be detoured.
This project is expected to be ongoing for approximately six months. Traffic patterns may change during the course of the project; however the road closure is expected between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for most of the project. Detours will be posted. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and avoid the area if possible. Use caution when traveling in the area.
