Rt. 535 In South Brunswick Closed Feb. 23 - Feb. 26

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Conrail authorities have informed South Brunswick police that they need to make emergency repairs to the railroad crossing that runs across Rt. 535 near the NJ Turnpike overpass.

Conrail plans to do the work over a three-day period of time and it will require a total closure of Rt. 535. The work is scheduled to begin on Saturday, February 23 at 7 a.m. and continue until Tuesday, February 26 at 5 a.m.

Route 535 will be closed between Ridge Road and Stults Road. Detours will be set up and officers will be posted at the closure locations. Use Rt. 130 as an alternative.

WHY: Major emergency repairs

Note: The road closure is approximately ½ mile away from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 8A.
