Secret Service, South Brunswick Police To Discuss Cyber Safety In June
South Brunswick Township Police and a Secret Service agent will educate parents on internet and cyber safety at a June Parent Academy.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Township Police and a Secret Service agent will educate parents on internet and cyber safety at a June Parent Academy, the South Brunswick School District said.
"NETSMARTZ - Internet and Cyber Safety" is June 8 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Crossroads North Auditorium. All K-12 parents are invited, but no children will be allowed because of the content. Marc Leshnower, Resident Agent in Charge with the U.S. Secret Service, is the guest speaker.

"The US Secret Service has a partnership with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) since 1994," the district said.
"Through this partnership with NCMEC, they found the best tool to arm the public with is knowledge. In this evening's presentation some of the topics covered will include cyberbullying, sexting, online enticement, and being a good digital citizen. The presentation will provide the foundation for parents to have a better understanding on how to safeguard their children from falling victim to both common mistakes and potentially dangerous decisions."
