Snow Disrupted PARCC Testing In South Brunswick

Last week’s snow disrupted Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) testing in the South Brunswick School District.

School officials have posted a revised testing schedule for the week of March 9 on their website.

According to the PARCC website, the test “measures real world skills that colleges value, like critical thinking and problem solving.” The test is aligned with the Common Core Standards.

But around the state, there is some opposition to the tests, and some parents are refusing to let their children take the exams.
