So Where's The Snow?
That's what much of Central Jersey is wondering Wednesday morning, but forecasters say hang on, the worst is yet to come.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — You closed schools and offices for this? That's what much of Central New Jersey is thinking Wednesday morning, as residents woke up to a combination of freezing rain, sleet and just a light dusting of the white stuff.
This was the scene in South Brunswick as of 8 a.m. today, provided by a South Brunswick resident and Patch reader. South Brunswick got a dusting of snow so far, while the rest of the state has seen mostly rain or sleet. In all of New Jersey, only Morris County has reported serious snowfall so far today, with about two to three inches on the ground so far, residents there say. Bucks County, PA is reporting steady snowfall, however.

But just hold on, say meteorologists: The worst is yet to come. The storm is supposed to intensify as Wednesday progresses, with heavier snow falling this afternoon. One to 2 inches per hour is expected to fall in many areas in North and Central Jersey. Newark airport already canceled nearly 550 flights. The National Weather Service said the storm is supposed to really pick up after 11:30 a.m.
