South Brunswick To Celebrate Festival Of Colors On Saturday
Holi, the Indian festival of colors, will be celebrated at Woodlot Park from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Holi, the Indian Spring festival of color will be celebrated once again in South Brunswick this Saturday.
"Rang Barse 2023" will be held at Woodlot Park from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is being organized by the Hindu American Society of Central New Jersey.
Holi marks the arrival of spring and symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, according to Hindu culture.

The event will include color play, music, dance, food stalls, vendors, bounce house, police, fire and EMS displays and more. To buy tickets, click here.
"This year we are also having a drawing competition for children," said Deep Shukla, a small business owner and one of the event organizers. "The theme is Holi and there will be prizes."

Last year, during the first Holi community celebration in South Brunswick, around 750 residents attended, Shukla said. "This year we are expecting more people to join us. We have already sold over 400 tickets," he said.
Tickets are priced at $15 (early bird) and $20 (at door). The price includes a packet of color, face painting, popcorn, ice cream, cotton candy and more.
The rain date is set for May 6.
