South Brunswick High School To Host 1st Blood Drive Since Pandemic

The drive will be held Wednesday and Thursday. This is the first blood drive the school is hosting since the start of the pandemic.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick High School along with New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS) will be hosting a two-day blood drive on Wednesday and Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the high school.

This is the first blood drive the school is hosting since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

Before the pandemic, high school students were able to get out of class early to donate blood and 50,000 annual blood donations were made at high schools. However, the pandemic put a stop to blood drives, with shortages reported at many blood banks.
