South Brunswick Home Break-In While Family Slept, Say Police

A Kendall Park home was broken into early Sunday morning, and the suspect entered an open garage at 3 a.m. while the family slept inside.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick police say a home in Kendall Park was broken into early Sunday morning, and the suspect entered an open garage at about 3 a.m. while the entire family was sleeping inside.

The break-in occurred at a home on Brittany Way in the Beekman Manor development in Kendall Park, say police. The homeowner reported that a middle-aged Asian man entered their open garage at 3:15 a.m. Sunday as the family was sleeping in the house.

Surveillance footage from inside the home showed the suspect walk around the garage with a flashlight for approximately 15 minutes and then go up to an interior door, which was locked.

The suspect then left the garage without entering the home, say police.

The man was wearing a black jacket, black pants, eye glasses and green shoes. He was carrying a flashlight and a black drawstring bag.

Police are asking residents in the Beekman Manor development to review any Ring doorbell or surveillance video to see for any activity on January 12 between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. If anyone recognizes the suspect or has video, they are asked to call South Brunswick Police at (732) 329-4646.
