South Brunswick, NJ - The South Brunswick Fire Marshal has ruled the Monday fire that heavily damaged a Stanford Drive home as accidental. Fire investigators determined the fire started on the stove top and spread to the rear of the home and second floor.
The fire was reported at 11:57 a.m. Monday morning. It took 35 firefighters from Kendall Park, Monmouth Junction, Kingston, Rocky Hill, and Plainsboro Fire Departments to put out the blaze.
“When we arrived there was heavy fire pushing out the rear of the residence," said Kendall Park Fire Chief Rob Cioffi. "Our initial crews made an aggressive attack and were able to get water on the seat of the fire quickly. They did a tremendous job in stopping the spread of the fire."
