COVID Vaccine Clinic In South Brunswick On Friday
The clinic will be held in partnership with Penn Medicine Princeton Health, ahead of school reopening.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The township will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Friday, Aug. 27, Mayor Charlie Carley recently announced.
The clinic, scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., will be held in partnership with Penn Medicine Princeton Health. Anyone 12 years of age or older who have not been vaccinated can register to get their shot.
“This vaccine program is being sponsored by South Brunswick Township for the under-65 population, and especially the 12-to-16-year-old population, which is preparing to return to school in just a few weeks,” Carley said in a statement. “We felt it necessary to do all we could to keep them safe as they transition back to in-person classes.”

Earlier this month, Carley told Patch the township was forming partnerships with Ridgewood Laboratory and Penn Medicine to provide free testing and vaccine opportunities for residents.
COVID-19's highly transmissible Delta variant is causing an uptick in cases across the state. As schools set to reopen in the next few days, Gov. Phil Murphy is expected to announce a mandate requiring all New Jersey teachers to get vaccinated against COVID-19, according to reports.
