South Brunswick Mosque Seminar With ACLU: "Know Your Rights"
"All Muslims are being affected by the ban because there is a subliminal undertone that we should all be vetted before we can be trusted."

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Islamic Society of Central Jersey will hold a seminar this Friday evening with the ACLU, the Association of Muslim American Lawyers and the New Jersey Muslim Lawyers Association.
The seminar is entitled "Know Your Rights," and is free and open to all, non-Muslims as well. It will go from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at the mosque at Rt. 1 and Promenade Boulevard.
"All Muslims are being affected by the ban because there is a subliminal undertone that we should all be vetted before we can be trusted," said Heba Macksoud, who sits on the board at the mosque. "This has terrified the community and has affected everyone from the young children up to and including our elderly members. We are fearful of the fear and want everyone to know that all we have to offer is our love."

In addition to issues concerning "Knowing your Rights," there will also be Q&A/discussion specifically on immigration conditions/rights, organizers say. "This is open to everyone. We know with the new administration, many people are feeling nervous about what might happen to themselves, their families, their friends and their neighbors," organizers say.
