South Brunswick Police Officer Hit in Traffic Stop Back at Work

Officer Greg Boldizar required 7 stitches for a head laceration after he was hit while in his squad car on Rt. 130 Monday.

South Brunswick, NJ - Three days after he was hit by a car while writing a traffic ticket on Rt. 130, Officer Greg Boldizar was back to work Thursday.

Officer Boldizar's squad car was rear-ended by another driver after he had pulled over a tractor trailer on Rt. 130 South Monday afternoon. The driver of the car that hit him, a 24-year-old South Brunswick man, had been seen swerving and driving erratically just seconds before the crash. Dash cam video released by police recorded the entire crash. The driver says he has no recollection of what happened.

Boldizar required 7 stitches for a head laceration. The driver of the car was checked out at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital and released. No charges have been filed.
