South Brunswick Opens Applications For Free, Reduced School Meals

Students who are unable to pay for meals in schools will be served under the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The South Brunswick School District announced the revised free and reduced-price meal policy for the 2020-2021 school year. Students who are unable to pay for meals in schools will be served under the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. Applications opened Monday.

Families living within the school district, whose household income is less than or equals federal guidelines are eligible for the program.

Applications are open until Oct. 30, and only one application is needed per household. If applications are not received by the stipulated date, benefits from the 2019-2020 school year will be terminated, said the school district.

Those who have received an eligibility certificate from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) do not need to apply.

Forms are available online through the Parent Genesis Portal.
