South Brunswick PD Seek Help Identifying Car In Hit-And-Run Crash
A man from South Carolina was struck when he was trying to move his disabled car from the road, on Aug. 21. The driver fled the scene.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The South Brunswick Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a car that was involved in a recent hit-and-run.
On Aug. 21 at 1:12 a.m., police responded to Route 1, between Beekman Road and Sandhills Road for a report of a man struck by a car. On arrival, officers found a 28-year-old man from South Carolina had been struck by another vehicle, which then fled the scene, police said.
The man was having car trouble and had been pushing his 2010 Nissan out of the roadway when he struck, police said. He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

The vehicle that struck the man is described as a white Ford Transit Connect van with roof racks, and was last seen traveling southbound on Route 1, authorities said. The vehicle should be missing the lower front grill and have damage to the passenger side front fender.
