South Brunswick Police Charge Man With DUI After Rt 1 Crash

Aiden Steele-Norton, from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware was charged and his vehicle was impounded.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A man from Delaware was charged with DUI after South Brunswick police responded to a crash on Route 1, Feb 25.

Aiden Steele-Norton, 31, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

According to the police, officers responded to a crash near the intersection of Raymond Road on Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Police said they found a silver Toyota 4-Runner, driven by Steele-Norton and a black Jeep Cherokee, driven by Otoniel Pollock, 55, of Newark, NJ, on the road. A preliminary investigation revealed that that Pollock’s vehicle was struck in the rear by Steele-Norton’s car, said police.

Police said Officer Matthew Hagood, who was investigating the incident, had Steele-Norton perform standardized field sobriety tests.

Steele-Norton was subsequently arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, said police.

His vehicle was impounded and he was also issued numerous motor vehicle summonses.

Steele-Norton was later released pending his first court appearance.
