SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — New Jersey's primary elections are set for June 7. And voters in Middlesex County, including South Brunswick, will be heading to the polling stations to cast their ballots.

New Jersey has a closed primary system, which means you must be a member of a particular party to vote in that party's primary. Voters who are registered but unaffiliated with any party can vote in the primary by declaring a party affiliation at the polls.

The deadline to register to be eligible to vote in the primary is May 17. Voters can cast a ballot in New Jersey's primaries: vote-by-mail, in-person early voting and in-person voting on Primary Election day.

Online and paper registration forms and ballots can be found on the New Jersey Department of State's website or by clicking here.

Apply to let the County Clerk know you would like a mail-in ballot. Once you receive your ballot, fill it out and choose the candidates you want to vote for. Return your ballot by sending it through the U.S. Postal Service, placing it in one of the County’s ballot drop boxes, or bringing it to the Board of Elections office.
