South Brunswick Roads Still Closed In Storm Aftermath

As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, the following roads are still closed in South Brunswick in the aftermath of Monday night's thunderstorm:

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, the following roads are still closed in South Brunswick in the aftermath of Monday night's thunderstorm:

Avoid Friendship Road in the area of Rt. 130 due to a road closure, but it's unclear if that is due to the storm.

Ridge Road, in the area of Marc Drive, is closed due to a utility pole repair.

Miller Road is also closed, between Broadway Road and Friendship Road, due to a down tree and power lines in the roadway.

There is no estimated time of repairs at this time.

More than 229,000 New Jersey residents are still without power on Tuesday morning. At least one person may have died in Monday night's storm: A 17-year-old teenage boy in Neptune Township died after he was trapped in a home that caught fire. The house's electricity had been knocked out in the storm, and the fire started in his room.
