South Brunswick’s Brandywine Living Celebrates National Assisted Living Week

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – This week, residents of Brandywine Living at Princeton, which is located on Raymond Road, are celebrating National Assisted Living Week.

Through Sept. 16, "A Season of Reflection" will feature a movie or musical theme. Through the events, residents will also be raising money for charity. On Sunday, Sept. 10, the community kicked off the week with "Star Wars Day". Guests enjoyed a laser show led by two Storm Troopers and a special appearances by Darth Vader and Chewbacca.

Grandchildren "padawans" trained to be Jedi in a bounce house and took their chances in a lightsaber giveaway.

So far, "The Galactic Princeton Empire" raised over 400 dollars to benefit the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter through raffle ticket sales. On Monday, Rev. Robbie led a morning prayer session in honor of 9/1. Later, local First Responders were surprised with a lunch delivery to thank them for their services.

Celebration end on Sept. 16 with a "Cast Away" Movie Day Party.
