South Brunswick Schools To Have Delayed Opening Post 2024 Super Bowl
The district included the delayed opening in the 2023-2024 school calendar.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The South Brunswick School District has made a preemptive move to reduce student and staff absences after the Super Bowl next year, by scheduling a delayed opening.
During last week’s Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Scott Feder told the board that the delayed opening has been included in the 2023-2024 school calendar.
“It was a neat thing that happened in some Philadelphia districts where they did a delayed opening on the Monday following the Superbowl,” Feder said. “So, the Monday after Super Bowl will be delayed opening. We are calling that now and putting it on the calendar.” More: Two-Hour Delay For Philly Schools Monday After Super Bowl
