South Brunswick Sets Date For Curbside Brush Recycling

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Township has set a date for the fall curbside brush recycling collection.

All brush must be at the curb and not in the street by 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, in order to receive collection.

Each township street will get one pick-up only, officials said. Material placed curbside after that date will not be collected.

Pick up will begin on Oct 3 and may take a few weeks to complete.

Brush from paid contractors will not be collected.

Here are the acceptable materials and preparation instructions:

• Brush, branches, shrubs, and bushes that are less than 4 feet in length and less
• than 5 inches in diameter.
• Must be securely tied in bundles that are less than 50 pounds.
• Twigs and small branches that are less than 4 feet may be placed in a container
• Brush should not be put in the roadway as not to restrict the street maintenance program
• Full trees that have been cut will not be collected
• No bags, leaves, weeds, stumps, litter of garbage.
