South Brunswick Volunteers Feed The Needy

Members of the Islamic Society of Central Jersey in South Brunswick prepared meals for the needy as part of a Muslims Against Hunger event.
Muslims Against Hunger started in 2000 to feed hungry people, according to a news release about the event.
The program is held in locations across the country and run by volunteers.

ISCJ partnered with Muslims Against Hunger to prepare 600 meals on July 4 at the center. The meals were then distributed via a hunger van.
The members of the center decided to work with the nonprofit program because they wanted “to take this opportunity to serve people in our neighborhood communities,’’ the news release said.
