'Top Gun Maverick' Screening In South Brunswick Friday Canceled

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The screening of the movie, "Top Gun Maverick" which was scheduled for Friday in South Brunswick, has now been canceled.

Friday night's scheduled Movie In The Park has been canceled due to weather concerns.

Heavy rain and storm is expected in New Jersey on Friday, according to weather forecasters.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Middlesex County including South Brunswick.

Several instances of flooding are possible through tonight, especially in urban and poor-drainage areas and near vulnerable small creeks and streams, the NWS said.

The NWS said that the storms "should be fast enough to limit the threat of significant flash flooding," but added that the coverage and intensity of rainfall in any one area "is very uncertain, with model guidance highly variable."
