Tractor Trailer Fire Closes Rt. 1 South In South Brunswick

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Rt. 1 south near New Road will have one lane closed for the next five hours Wednesday, as repairs have to be made to the road after a large tractor trailer fire there Wednesday morning.
The tractor trailer caught fire on Rt. 1 at New Road at about 8:30 a.m.
Crews now need to clean up the roadway and make repairs.

There is one lane on Rt. 1 south still open, but the area will be congested and backed up throughout Wednesday. Avoid Rt. 1 south today, warn South Brunswick police.
