SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Hello, neighbors. Welcome to another edition of the Monday manual, where we tell you what's happening in town this week:

Traffic Enforcement

The South Brunswick Police Department will be conducting directed traffic enforcement through April 21, in the following neighborhoods:

West Side

  • Raymond Road - Speeding, distracted driving & weight ordinance violations

East Side

  • Route 522 - Speeding, distracted driving, traffic signal violations and failure to keep right

Road Work, Closures

PSEG’s gas main replacement project, along Ridge Road and Griggs Drive, will require an additional road closure on Monday April 17. Ridge Road will closed to through traffic between Georges Road and Griggs Drive. Local resident will be allowed access based on the location of work. Hours of the closure will be 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

NJDOT will continue work on Route 27 between Route 518 and Laurel Avenue. The southbound lane of Route 27 will continue to be closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., nightly, Monday through Thursday. Follow posted detour and plan an alternate route.

Southern Middlesex County Freight Movement Study

The Middlesex County Department of Transportation and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) will be hosting a meeting on April 17 to seek public input and present draft recommendations of the Southern Middlesex County Freight Movement Study.

The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cranbury School, 23 N. Main St., Cranbury.
