Traffic Enforcement, Road Construction: South Brunswick This Week

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Good morning, neighbors. Here's the traffic enforcement details for South Brunswick through April 14:

West Side

  • Wheeler Road - Speeding, distracted driving & stop sign at Brandt Road

East Side

  • Kingston Lane - Speeding, distracted driving, and weight ordinance violations

ROAD WORK

NJDOT will continuing to work on Route 27 between Route 518 and Laurel Avenue. The southbound lane of Route 27 will be closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., nightly, Monday through Thursday, for an extended period of time. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour and plan an alternate route if possible. Local residents will have access 27 from either end of the closure at the direction of officers.

PSEG will continue installing a new gas main along Ridge Road and Griggs Drive. An alternating traffic plan will be used for approximately 1 week between Georges Road and Griggs Drive, at which point a lane shift is anticipated. The overall project expected to last eight weeks. The hours of operation will be 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
