Traffic Enforcement, Roadwork: South Brunswick This Week

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Good morning, neighbors. Welcome to another edition of the Monday Manual, where we tell you what's happening in South Brunswick this week.

Traffic Enforcement

The South Brunswick Police Department will be conducting the following traffic enforcement details through Sept. 1st:

  • West Side - Raymond Road: Speeding, distracted driving, and weight limit ordinance violations
  • East Side - Georges Road: Speeding, distracted driving, and weight limit ordinance violations

Roadwork

The Township’s New Road Improvement Project will see the closing of New Road to all through traffic, between Route 1 and Route 27, this week for milling and paving. The closure will be from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., beginning Monday.

The work will take approximately 3 days to complete, weather permitting. Detour will be posted. Residents of Kendall Park on either side of New Road should exit west of Hodge Road. Those who live on Aldrich, Shelley, Benson and Burnham need to follow the direction of officers and other traffic controllers. Access to the Community Center will be from Route 1.
