Warm Weather Gets Trucks Stuck in Mud in South Brunswick

This tractor trailer got stuck in the mud at Rt. 535 and Deans Rhode Hall Road. Another one got stuck on Deans Lane.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The past two days of unseasonably balmy temperatures has resulted in trucks getting stuck in the mud throughout South Brunswick Township.

Police sent over this photo Thursday afternoon of a tractor trailer stuck in the mud at Rt. 535 and Deans Rhode Hall Road. The truck driver had pulled onto the side of Rt. 535 to get something to eat and became stuck. Another tractor trailer got stuck on the shoulder of Deans Lane Thursday afternoon, Capt. Jim Ryan said.

The warm temperatures and rain meant the snowpack from this past weekend melted quickly, turning the hard, frozen ground to mud. Both trucks had to be pulled out by a tow truck.
