Woman Indicted For Murder Of South Brunswick Man

A Trenton woman accused of stabbing her South Brunswick boyfriend to death earlier this year has been indicted for his murder.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A Trenton woman accused of stabbing her South Brunswick boyfriend to death earlier this year has been indicted for his murder, the Mercer County prosecutor announced Friday.

Briann Lindsey, 25, of Clearfield Avenue in Trenton, was indicted on one count of first-degree murder, one count of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and one count of fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. She remains in custody.

As Patch reported at the time, Lindsey is accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend, a 35-year-old South Brunswick man, at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Monday, March 6. Trenton police responded to a 911 call for a man stabbed in the 300 block of Clearfield Avenue. Officers arrived and found the man inside the apartment along with his girlfriend, Lindsey.

Trenton EMS arrived on the scene, however, the victim, identified as Christopher Johnson of South Brunswick, was pronounced dead a short time later. An investigation revealed that Johnson was stabbed in the kitchen area of the residence and collapsed in the hallway.

The investigation also revealed that Lindsey attempted to clean up the crime scene prior to police arrival, police said.
