SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — South Orange closed the curtain on its Wednesday night summer series with The Princess Bride, music and a final evening under the stars.
Before the movie began, the crowd joined a singalong of "9 to 5," offering what organizers called "a pretty perfect South Orange tribute" to Dolly Parton. DJ Lou supplied the music before showtime, while the League of Women Voters helped residents prepare for November's election.
Organizers also thanked recreation staff, the Meadowland Park Conservancy and SOPAC for making the season possible.
"It's been an amazing summer," the village wrote. "Thanks for making so many memories with us!"
Village residents can expect the free Summer Movie Nights to return next summer.
