The biggest TEDx Event on the East Coast: right in your back-yard

On Saturday, April 11, 2015, TEDxNavesink “Accelerators” will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Pollak Theatre, Monmouth University, 400 Cedar Avenue, West Long Branch, N.J.

The Conference brings an all-day event of live TED talks and entertainment showcasing people and ideas that are speeding up innovation and forging our tomorrow.

“Accelerators are the people, teams, systems that produce surprising growth, speed, progress,” said Gail Woods, chief curator, TEDxNavesink. “We selected the 29 speakers and entertainers from over 200 applications. More than half the speakers were approached because of their thought leadership, and some come from Europe and California at their own expense to give the talk of their lives.”

Speakers include:

• Esther Dyson, a world-renowned investor and internet pioneer
• Dan Neil, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist from The Wall Street Journal
• Dr. Gary Lewandowski, chair of the Department of Psychology at Monmouth University and director of the Relationship Science Lab
• Bora Yoon, a Korean-American composer, vocalist, sound artist, and 2014 TED Fellow
• Don Katz, Founder & CEO of audible.com
• Dr. Chris Welty, Sr. research scientist at Google and member of the IBM Watson team
• Abby Daly is founder and executive director of the NJ-based Bridge of Books Foundation
• Don Lincoln, particle physicist working on the Large Hadron Collider
• Dr. Lora Aroyo, associate professor of computer science at VU University in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Tickets start at only $40 (for Millennials), with regular tickets starting at $55, and both include lunch. Attendees are encouraged to also join the Navesink Reception with entertainment, dinner, wine and beer from 5 to 8 p.m. for $25. Group discounts are available.
