Review of Book Signing Event - Olympian Author Joetta Clarks Diggs "P" Principles for Success

Words Bookstore in Maplewood NJ hosted a book signing for Olympian and Author Joetta Clark Diggs book, “P” Principles for Success: Life Lessons Learned from Track & Field. It was a well atttended affair and as we came to learn Joetta is a very real, very authentic person.

Throughout the book signing event she recounted a number of stories about the trials and tribulations of being a 4 time Olympian over 3 decades. Joetta has been honored for many of her activities over time including being recently inducted in to the New Jersey Hall of Fame . What I especially loved was that she did not just talk about the highs of her career, but she also spoke about how to handle the days when you are not at the top of your career. She made it clear that no matter where you are at in life , you still have the ability to do your best and always contribute in a positive manner to those around you.

Bottom line we discovered that Joetta is totally dedicated to making sure the kids coming up today truly succeed and grow well beyond their basic capabilities. Joetta is definitely committed as evidenced by her being President of Joetta Sports & Beyond, LLC and the Executive Director of the Joetta Clark Diggs Sports Foundation, Inc.

She works very hard raising funds to provide free fitness, track & field camps and life skills programs for children throughout the country. To quote her sports foundation website: “ Our children deserve every advantage necessary to succeed and every ray of possibility to obtain their dreams. “

I like many others at the event, enjoyed our time with her, I did purchase a few of her books for the family, will read mine and provide a review when I finsh reading it. So far from what she read to us at the book signing and from what I have read so far, I urge folks to get Joetta Clark Diggs Book “P” Principles for Success: Life Lessons Learned from Track & Field. Its just as great for adults as it is for the kids.
