The Black History 101 Mobile Museum is coming to town! Visit it at the DeHart Community Center from 10 am - 5 pm on Saturday, 10/3 and Sunday, 10/4.
Founded by Dr. Khalid el-Hakim, the mobile museum is a renowned repository of more than 10,000 original artifacts ranging from the trans-Atlantic slave trade to hip-hop culture. It has a diverse collection of authentic documents bearing the signatures of revered figures such as Martin Luther King Jr., Angela Davis, Carter G. Woodson, Mary Mcleod Bethune and many, many more. It is the premier traveling exhibition of Black history in the nation, and has visited numerous colleges, corporate spaces, libraries, festivals and conferences spanning more than 40 states and 1,000 institutions.
