Celebrate the Holiday Season with Arts Unbound!
Arts Unbound gallery exhibits fine art and craft made by students, emerging artists and established artists living with disabilities.

ORANGE, NJ: Arts Unbound, the gallery and studio dedicated to artists with disabilities and special needs, has announced several events for the holiday season.
The “Small Works, Big Gifts” show opens Saturday, November 15th with a public reception from 5pm to 8pm. The emphasis is on affordable works of art. Refreshments will be served, music will be playing and all are invited to stop by to meet and greet old and new friends.
On exhibit will be small oil pastels by NJ DeVico of Titusville, charcoal drawings by David Wiley of Somerville, brush paintings by Jason Towns, acrylic abstract paintings by Andrea Weisbard of South Orange, photographs by David Joseph of Clifton, work by Ida Ballard of East Orange, crafts by Debbie Davidson of South Orange, and designs by Avary Waldron of West Orange.
A private sale on Sunday November 30th (Thanksgiving weekend) from 2pm to 5pm is open to members of Arts Unbound’s mailing list. Shoppers can join the mailing list at www.artsunbound.org.

In addition to the normal gallery hours, the agency will also host four special shopping nights on Thursdays December 4th, 11th, and 18th from 5pm to 8pm. Fine art and crafts, large and small, including greeting cards, by artists with disabilities will be on sale for the holiday season.
Those looking for a hands-on experience can drop into the gallery on Saturday afternoons for holiday decoration, jewelry, and gift workshops.

- Seasonal Gifts November 1
Make quick and easy gifts for everyone on your holiday list. Try your hand at easy painting, sewing and wire forming techniques. 2 - 5pm
- Jewelry December 6
Learn easy techniques to create fun jewelry using wire and beads. Makes great gifts to give for the holiday season. 2 - 5pm
- Seasonal Ornaments November 15
Try your hand at using paper folding techniques, quick and easy painting ideas, wire forming, even simple sewing stitches to create holiday greeting cards. 2 - 5pm
Visitors can drop-in during the listed hours to learn from teaching artists, and bring home their very own pieces that day. All workshops are free, but $5 donations are appreciated.
Arts Unbound is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the artistic achievement of youth, adults and senior citizens with disabilities. Through professional classes in the visual arts and exhibitions in the Arts Unbound gallery and throughout NJ, the organization is committed to providing skill development and income opportunities for emerging and established artists with special needs. The gallery is located in the Valley Arts District at 544 Freeman Street, in Orange.
