Cheap Deals: Here Comes Black Friday In Essex County

Like the day or hate it, it’s coming… Black Friday.

Local retailers have begun to announce their store hours for the annual shopping “holiday,” which takes place the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27 this year).

Here’s what’s happening this year:

• The Mall At Short Hills will be open on Nov. 27 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The mall’s Black Friday deals can be seen online here.
• The Livingston Mall will be open on Nov. 27 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Toys R Us opens at 5:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving, and remains open until 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27. Saturday hours are 9 a.m.-11 p.m., and Sunday’s hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
• Wal-Mart will kick off its Black Friday sale online at 3 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, reports CNN Money. Sales will begin at Walmart stores at 6 p.m. See the full Walmart ad here via BestBlackFriday.com.
• Target has announced its Black Friday hours and sales, with the retailer saying this year it will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving. A ”10 Days of Deals” promotion kicks off on Nov. 25, Target announced. On Monday, the retail giant released its Black Friday advertisement.
• Outdoor retailer REI is giving its employees Black Friday off.
