Clinton School Broken Into Last Week

Thieves break into a classroom and steal pencils and pretzels.

On Wednesday, July 8, a Clinton School employee told police that a portable classroom was broken into either that day or during the night of July 7. Maplewood police haven't said how the culprits gained access to the classroom, but they made off with 200 colored pencils and about $48 worth of pretzels.

The event made July the second month in a row where a local elementary school was illegally entered for no evident gain. On June 6, Tuscan School was broken into, and several classrooms and offices were ransacked. Access was reportedly gained through an unlocked window, but despite the disturbance, nothing appeared to be missing from the school.
