Consolidated Fire Dept. Chiefs Considered In Maplewood/So. Orange

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The Village of South Orange is scheduled to authorize an exploratory committee that will work with Maplewood in order conduct interviews for fire chief on Monday.

The preliminary interviews are for a consolidated fire department chief. Also on the agenda is an update on the curbside recycling policy. Giordana Recycling will not longer be collecting plastic bags for curbside recycling.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. at the Municipal Offices at 76 South Orange Ave. The meeting is open to the public and there is time set aside in each meeting for public commentary.
