Date for forum conflicted with other events, including an anti-vouchers rally.
The information session for hot education issues currently in the legislature has been canceled because of conflicts with other events, including an anti-vouchers rally on the same day.
Superintendents of the Livingston, , , and school districts had planned to host a regional legislative forum on Wednesday on such as teacher tenure and evaluation, charter schools and - legislation that could come up in the so-called "lame duck" session.

The school districts had invited elected officials from both the 21st and 27th legislative districts to share their perspectives on important pending legislation that may be voted on during the upcoming session, but legislators had conflicts with the date.
This Wednesday, a coalition of parents, pro-public education grassroots organizations and education advocates is holding a rally to demonstrate the resident opposition to taxpayer funded vouchers for private and religious education. Several legislators are expected to attend.

The rally begins at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the auditorium of Franklin L. Williams Middle School (P.S. #7) at 222 Laidlaw Avenue in Jersey City.
