Essex County's Turtle Back Zoo Breaks All-Time Attendance Record
The Essex County zoo saw 700,000 visitors in 2015, its highest total ever, officials say.

Zoo administrators announced on Monday that the West Orange facility has seen more than 700,000 visitors this year, its highest attendance total ever.
The record-setting attendance tally is one of multiple signs that the zoo is becoming more popular in the area.

In August of 2014, Essex County officials announced that the zoo reached 500,000 visitors at the end of August, the earliest that the half-million mark has been reached. In addition, a new monthly attendance record of 106,816 was set that month.
