20th-Century Irish Immigration to the US

Seton Hall University’s Pirates of Irish Persuasion & Extraction (PIPE) will sponsor a program on 20^th-century Irish immigration to the US.  Dr. Linda Dowling Almeida, author of Irish Immigrants in New York City, 1945-1995 and an expert on Irish immigration to the US, will give a presentation on the changes in Ireland during the 20^th century that precipitated the waves of immigration in the ‘20s, ‘50s, ‘80s, and at the turn of the 21^st century.  The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on Tuesday, May 3 at 7:30pm in the Beck Rooms of Walsh Library on Seton Hall’s South Orange campus.
