Alfredo Silipigini International Vocal Competition

Seton Hall University hosts the New Jersey State Opera Grand Finals Concert, Alfredo Silipigni International Vocal Competition. The concert will feature performances by singers in all voice classifications between the ages of 21-35, who have advanced from an international field of 80 candidates, and were selected from semi-final auditions at Philadelphia's Academy of Vocal Arts and NYC's Liederkranz Foundation.

The Grand Finals Concert Judging Panel will include Nedda Cassei, Distinguished MET Mezzo-Soprano; Stephen DeMaio, Executive Director, Gerda Lissner Foundation and Puccini Foundation; Jason Tramm, Artistic Director, New Jersey State Opera and Director of Choral Activities at Seton Hall University; E. Mario Bertolino, Distinguished MET Bass-Baritone; Ronni Reich, Music Critic, Star Ledger; James Harwood, President, Harwood Artist Management; and Gloria Thurmond, Professor of Voice, Seton Hall University.

The finalists are Viktor Antipenko, Tenor; Luigi Boccia, Tenor; Cynthia Cook, Mezzo-Soprano; Heather Engebretson, Coloratura Soprano; Jennifer Forni, Soprano; Norman Garrett, Baritone; Patrick Guetti, Bass; Youna Jang, Soprano; Katherine Lerner, Soprano; Jordan Shanahan, Baritone; and Olivia Vote, Mezzo-Soprano.
