Essex CASA Information Meeting- learn how you can make a difference in the life of a child in care.

Interested in becoming a CASA Volunteer?

By attending an information meeting, you can learn how you can help improve the lives of abused and neglected children as a volunteer CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocate, for Essex County youth in foster care.  You will get an overview of the Essex County CASA program, the foster care situation in Essex County and the role of a volunteer Advocate.

CASA volunteers:
• Represent the best interests of the child for permanency to the court and the child protection system
• Promote the delivery of needed services while the child is in foster care
• Seek to decrease the length of time a child spends in foster care and the number of placements he/she must endure before obtaining a safe and permanent home.
