Tryouts for both the Maplewood and South Orange travel basketball teams will take place in October. These teams compete in the Suburban Basketball League, which is made up of teams from many nearby towns, including Millburn, Livingston, Caldwell, West Orange and Verona. THE SUBURBAN BASKETBALL LEAGUE RULES REQUIRE THAT ALL PLAYERS BE RESIDENTS OF THE SPONSORING TOWN. Maplewood residents who wish to play must try out for the Maplewood team and South Orange residents for the South Orange team, regardless of where they attend school.
