EXTENSION OF GRACE PERIOD FOR 2ND QUARTER TAXES THROUGH JUNE 1, 2020

GRACE PERIOD EXTENDED FOR 2ND QUARTER TAXES THROUGH JUNE 1, 2020

In the light of the pandemic, governor Murphy signed executive order no. 130 allowing municipalities to extend grace period for second quarter taxes until June 1, 2020. The governing body of The Township of South Orange Village has therefore by resolution authorize the tax collector to extend the grace period for the 2nd quarter taxes that is originally due on May 1, 2020 until June 1, 2020. The grace period will end on June 1 with no additional grace beyond this date. Any unpaid balance will accrue interest from May 1, 2020.
