First Baptist Church of South Orange Donates More Than $30K To Local Causes
Donations commemorated the 20th pastoral anniversary of Rev. Dr. Terry Richardson and the church's vision to "impact the world."

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — The First Baptist Church of South Orange recently celebrated and honored Rev. Dr. Terry Richardson, and First Lady NaDeen Richardson, for their 20 years of pastoral service and positive contributions to South Orange, Essex County, New Jersey and communities abroad.
To commemorate the anniversary, more than $30,000 has been donated to local community based organizations, according to a church news release.
Since 2002, more than $270,000 has been distributed to support local and international organizations that focus on improving the human condition, the release stated.

Organizations such as the Isaiah House, South Orange Library, Good Worx Foundation, St. Jude’s Children Hospital and Habitat for Humanity, have received funding and support on a local level, while $10,000 was donated to help build a school in Swaziland, Africa.
According to the church, one such donation to The American Baptist Churches of New Jersey was used to rebuild a brand-new computer lab destroyed by the last major Tsunami to hit the Philippines.
