Friends of the South Orange Public Library Announce Giant Book Sale -- June 24 and 25, 2017 at The Baird

The Friends of SOPL Giant Book Sale opens at the Baird, 5 Mead Street, on Saturday, June 24 at 9 AM with a special hour for purchases by current members of the Friends. From 10 AM to 4 PM it will be open to the public. It continues on Sunday, June 25 from 10 AM to 3 PM with a bag sale. For a nominal sum one can buy an Ashley bag and cram it full of as many books as possible. The sale is held to fund new acquisitions and programs.

You will find great books for summer reading as well as old favorites you have always meant to re-read. Children will be delighted to begin or add to their own library. All these will be priced to sell!

The books from the basements, attics and closets of your neighbors can be donated at the Baird on Wednesday, June 21 from 10 AM to 3PM and Thursday, June 22 from 2PM to 7PM. Gently used paperback or hard cover books; fiction or nonfiction; coffee table albums or outgrown children's books are welcome. They will find loving homes. Magazines, textbooks and almanacs from the past cannot be used.
