Here Come the Buyers!

Houses are selling in South Orange despite the news that the rest of the country is off by 50 percent. 

Why? Most of my buyers are coming  from New York, Hoboken, and  Jersey City where the commute is fast and easy.  Many young couples have a dream to own their own house, have a backyard, and still have that fast and easy commute that they are use to and love.

South Orange has al,l that plus charm, good schools, parks (including dog parks), great neighbors, and a convenient downtown with  great restaurants.                     .

When I pick up my clients at the train station, they immediately know how great the commute is. We go to Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks where we sit and talk about what houses they are going to see. Then  we "pop" into the car and I start showing them all the different areas and personalities of each  neighborhood, such as Montrose and Newstead.  They love the gas lights and the idea of a jitney! 

We'll look at four to five houses  in their price point and I get the buyers to talk to me about the pluses of each home.  After a few hours they get back on the train with information about the town and houses they have seen. It's a lot to digest in one visit.

We later communicate by email to discuss their favorite home.  After two or three more visits most buyers have fallen in love with South Orange and make an offer. It's a decision that will change their lives forever.
