Investors Opens in Grand Style

New South Orange branch pulls out all the stops at Grand Opening.

Warm weather, a host of activities, and interested patrons made for a successful Grand Opening Saturday morning at the new branch of Investors Bank. Staff members, who handed out bank information and paraphernalia, greeted potential customers and their children.  A portion of proceeds obtained from opened accounts will be donated to the South Orange Rescue Squad.

Members of the community filed in and out of the bank to learn about everything the branch had to offer. While there, they stood in teller lines and met with bank staff about accounts and loans. They also got the opportunity to sample hamburgers and hot dogs, listen to music provided by a DJ, learn about the efforts of the Squad, and participate in the money machine where they had 15 seconds to grab as much money as they could.

“It’s been fantastic weather,” said Omari Frazier, branch manager. “We couldn’t have asked for a better day. It’s a beautiful day filled with beautiful people from the community. We’ve had a lot of people coming in asking questions.”

Children had their fill as well. They enjoyed popcorn from a popcorn machine; card tricks; hats made out of balloons; and free candy. “My kids are really enjoying themselves,” said Sharon Johns, who heard about the opening through a friend. “This is a good way for investors to introduce themselves to the community and for me to find out about another bank in the area.”

The official ribbon cutting was done by Domenick Cama, Investors’ Chief Operating Officer. He was accompanied by Investors’ Regional Manager Robert Zajac; Omari Frazier; Don Boyle, President of the South Orange Rescue Squad; South Orange Trustees Deborah David Ford and Michael Goldberg.

“We’re pleased to see such a great turnout,” said Cama. “We’re pleased to be able to make an impact on the community and for us to give back.”
